On our last day in California there was a beautiful sunny and warm day, so we decided to rent a convertible car and drive around on the Pacific Coast Highway. Not being able to find a Corvette (which is unbelievable) the choice was between the Mustang and the Camaro… Having already tried the Mustang GT 5.0 the choice has inevitably fallen on the Camaro…

The line of this supercar is classic of the American “muscle”, wide and powerful, but still has something unique and fascinating, especially in its convertible version. Even if the red color is not my favorite one, you can not admire its line so captivating… see the picture and believe that…

We started our ride on the Pacific Coast Highway with our first stop at the Santa Monica Pier. I almost regretted parking it to get off and go to have lunch…
In the afternoon we took the North direction on the Pacific Coast Highway, and the fun started…

The Camaro engine is powerful, but the low speed of the sequential gearbox makes driving this sports car a little less fun…
The braking is excellent, despite the considerable weight of the Camaro, and the road holding is remarkable, thanks to the width of the car and tires. So, once we got past Malibu, we decided to leave the coast for a while and go into a road up the hills… and start to have a little fun… The wide roads certainly help to let off the power of the engine of the Camaro, but not knowing the area very well, and having already seen several police cars come out of nowhere, I did not trust to pull it too much.
Driving a “convertible car” on a beautiful sunny day in California was definitely something to do…

Unfortunatly we didn’t find a Corvette, maybe it will be for next time, but surely the Camaro, with its catchy line, was overall a good experience…
