Finally, the day came. I always wanted to drive this car and I found the way to do it here in the U.K.

The place I went to drive the car is in Stafford, which is about an hour and a half from London. I took a train from London Euston Station that arrived at Stafford Station. From there, the best way to get to the circuit is in a taxi. (about 10 £ the expense, which can be refunded once you arrive)
Once you have made a fast check-in at the reception, you can start watching and photographing all the supercars, even though I was just looking for her…

After that moment, you can start watching others run a bit on the track while waiting for your turn…

Despite the rainy day and the wet track, drivers continued to do laps but the speeds were not the highest…

In the afternoon it stopped to rain, that also increased some traffic on the track…

Here is the Huracan in action! Just a slow acceleration entering on the track…

Finally, it was my turn. Just under 117 cm high in the passenger compartment you seem to be virtually attached to the ground. The 12.3-inch screen shows all the useful information you need. On the steering wheel you’ll also find a selector for the three different driving styles: Road, sport and race.

Even though, I had a mirror set, visibility is certainly not the strength of this car. It took me a moment to get to know the right drive because it was first time, and so it began.
There was a bit of traffic at the entrance to the track, so I left 3-4 cars space to have some room. My first thought was to immediately experience the awesome acceleration of this car. Starting from a stop, I got to first, second and third gear. I also inserted the fourth gear with the sequential gearbox with the “Lamborghini Double Clutch” coupled to the integral electronic drive and then, it was already time to brake. I was back to third gear again, entering a light left-right chicane, that resulted in a hairpin turn on the right. I did stay in the third gear because of the wet track, on the advice of the driver who was in the car with me. I accelerated again to the fifth gear, using a good deal of the 610 horses of this jewel. Then, braking again, I entered the left-right chicane and right turn…

The first lap was completed. I was still focused, my expression steady and my hands crossed. I had to get in touch with the track again, which as I said earlier is very easy, it doesn’t have any complicated curves. I felt confident with the visibility of the right-hand drive and with the machine’s grip on the wet track. In the second lap, I was able to better understand where to pull off the brakes and how to tackle the two right-handed corners…

Starting the third lap, it was time to begin exploiting all the potential of this car. Thanks to the good handling of the car through the hairpin turn, I was in full acceleration in the fifth gear. I honestly did not watch the odometer, but I’m perfectly sure I was going well over 200 Km / h when I start braking. I was impressed by the stability and the speed at which I arrived under 100 Km / h in the third gear to face the right turn. I was already aware that I could shave time off my next lap…

My expression was already more relaxed and I was getting more confident with this car. I know I’m not going to hurt her. I caught up to the cars I’d left behind when I started on the track. Now, in front of me, I have the Porsche Cayman. My co-pilot suggested to approach in detachment and take the hairpin turn in moderate acceleration and then give wind to all 610 horses on the straight away, to pass on the outside. A maneuver performed perfectly! The fourth lap was finished, I started the next one, with a hint of a smile on my face.

The fifth lap started and in front of me I had the Lamborghini Gallardo. I got up to fifth gear, more than 200 km / h and delayed a little my approach as much as possible. Then, came a left-right chicane exploiting the stability of this car. I slowed a little bit before the hairpin turn to the right and let her go lightly. I wanted to use the whole track and hit the gas early but to do so I have to take a few seconds and ease off the brake before entering the curve and then step on the accelerator! I waited inside through the half curve and then took advantage of the widening track to my left. I anticipated the quick acceleration and the 610 horses once again. Even the “old sister” with its 520 horses had to move aside…

Not bad as a first experience with this car and on this track. I was smiling as I passed the Lamborghini Gallardo…

I started the sixth and final lap, a high-speed cakewalk to the end of this truly unforgettable experience, but surely, I will make it back…

Thanks to the V.I.P. package which included two drinks in the bar in the facility, a printed photo and a cd with the rest of the photos. Also with a voucher with a 50% discount for the next booking and the chance to drive a 4 × 4 Land Rover between through the mud and the bush nearby. It was really a beautiful experience that ended up unexpectedly because I was still waiting for the taxi when the facility was closing where the owner of Lamborghini Huracan saw me and gave me a ride. An unexpected passenger ride on this dreamy car…
