My love for castles certainly started back to when I was still a child; so every trip I plan, I always have the habit of looking at whether there are castles in the area, especially of the medieval age.
In this case, however, the travel program was exclusively aimed at visiting one of the most characteristic castles of the Kent region in the United Kingdom: Leeds Castle…
It takes just over an hour from West London to reach this beautiful castle surrounded by beautiful gardens, less than an hour from the east of the city.
Once you arrive you can leave your car in the large parking area and walk to the entrance of the castle. The entrance ticket is quite expensive, £ 27 seemed slightly excessive, without diminishing the beauty of this place. Once you exit the ticket office, you have immediate access to the beautiful castle gardens…
You can choose to take a pleasant walk, especially on a sunny day, through the hugh park, or use the “shuttle little train” that will accompany you to the main entrance of the castle. We definitely recommend the walk…
Anyway, whatever your choice is, the one in the next photo will be your point of arrival… or perhaps better to say of departure, to discover the interior of the building…
Once you have crossed the main door, you will find yourself in the internal garden of the building…
From here you can follow the indicated path that will take you to the castle from the cellars, located in the foundations of the castle…
Once inside, you will simply have to follow the indicated path that will lead you to discover, room after room, all the history that this palace contains…
Once you have finished the tour inside the palace, you will find yourself back in the internal garden of the castle, where you can have the opportunity to take more photos or go to the souvenir shop to bring a souvenir of this visit with you. [:it]Il mio amore per i castelli risale sicuramente a quando ero ancora un bambino; così ogni viaggio che programmo, ho sempre il vizio di guardare se nella zona ci sono castelli, in particolare dell’età medievale.
In questo caso invece, il programma del viaggio era esclusivamente mirato alla visita di uno dei castelli piú caratteristici della regione del Kent nel Regno Unito: Leeds Castle…
Ci vuole poco più di un’ora dalla zona Ovest di Londra per raggiungere questo bellissimo castello immerso nel verde, meno di un’ora partendo invece dalla zona Est della città.
Una volta arrivati potrete lasciare la vostra auto nell’ampio parcheggio e avvicinarvi a piedi all’ingresso del castello.
Il biglietto di ingresso è piuttosto costoso, 27£ci è sembrato leggermente eccessivo, senza sminuire la bellezza di questo posto.
Una volta usciti dalla biglietteria, si ha immediatamente accesso ai bellissimi giardini del castello…
Potrete scegliere se fare una piacevole passeggiata, specialmente in una giornata di sole, attraversando il vasto parco, oppure servirvi del trenino che vi accompagnerà fino all’entrata principale del castello. Noi vi consigliamo sicuramente la passeggiata…
Ad ogni modo, qualsiasi sia la vostra scelta, quello nella prossima foto sarà il vostro punto di arrivo… o forse meglio dire di partenza, per andare alla scoperta degli interni del palazzo…
Una volta varcato il portone principale, vi troverete nel giardino interno del palazzo…
Da qui potrete seguire il percorso indicato che vi fará accedere al castello dalle cantine, situate nelle fondamenta del castello…
Una volta entrati all’interno, dovrete semplicemente seguire il percorso indicato che vi porterá a scoprire, sala dopo sala, tutta la storia che questo palazzo racchiude…
Una volta finito il giro all’interno del palazzo, vi ritroverete di nuovo nel giardino interno del castello, dove potrete avere l’occasione di fare altre foto o di passare nel negozio di souvenirs per portare con voi un ricordo di questa visita.
Se poi come noi, volete approfittare della calda giornata di sole per fare una passeggiata negli ampi e colorati giardini, sentitevi liberi di farlo e di passare qui tutto il tempo che volete…
