Ferrari 360 Modena Challange

Power: 425 hp

0-62 mph: 4,2 seconds

I went back to Stafford, this time for a ferrari driving experience uk, and after almost six months I was again behind the wheel of a Ferrari. I left London with the cloudy sky, and the weather forecast for the day was not the best.

Upon my arrival at Stafford, the track was quite wet and the rain had already begun to fall…

After trying the Ferrari California, this time I was curious to drive the 360 Modena Challange (here in the classic Ferrari red color)…

My session was in the afternoon, around 2:30 pm, but unfortunately half an hour before my turn, the rain became very persistent, not just wetting the track but creating puddles making it dangerous to drive…

First Lap

My Ferrari driving experience uk was definitely very wet…

When I went down the track, my co-pilot was quite worried about the track conditions. I initially approached it with caution not yet comfortable with the track, to study the points of the track to drive with more prudence…

But as you can see from the photo, the rain continued to fall steadily and the track was still in precarious conditions.

Second Lap

Despite this, on the second lap, having gained a bit of confidence with the car and track conditions, I tried to accelerate but my co-pilot did not seem to be very comfortable.

By the end of the second lap, I could catch up to the Porsche Cayman that was in front of us…

So, taking advantage of the outside of the track, and anticipating my acceleration in the curve and on the straight away I used all 483 horses of this Ferrari. I easily outpaced the Porsche Cayman.

The brakes, on the other hand, were not very good and made me realized at the end of the third lap that I was expecting more of this car that the very hard brake pedal I had to work with…

Fourth Lap

During the fourth lap, I immediately get closer to a couple of cars that were in front of me, but my co-pilot kept asking me to slow down and to follow the proper lines.

He also wanted me to leave more space. Because of this, the last half of the lap was so boring that for a moment I thought I was in the city traffic on a rainy day.

Then, thankfully before the start of my last lap, the two cars in front of me (the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Nissan GTR) left the track which left me some space to run free…

But as you can see from the photo, my co-pilot was ruining the fun of the wet track. However, the sixth lap was faster but just not as much as I wanted.

I can say that driving a Ferrari is always a beautiful emotion. I certainly enjoyed the acceleration, not so much the braking, but with a better weather and a more courageous co-pilot the experience would have been much exhilarating!
