“The Lighthouse Circuit”
The first time we stumbled upon what would later become the Lighthouse Circuit, we had no idea where we were; we had been drawn to local attractions such as the white cliffs and the lighthouse structure…
So after capturing some nice pictures, I noticed that the road really seemed to be done with a sports car; frequent ups and downs, nice curves, a little narrow, but that’s a bit classic of the English country roads…
I was fascinated by the curves of those roads, and looking carefully on Google Map, I noticed the presence of a circuit of just over 7 miles…
So, the second time we returned to the area, we came back with a Jaguar F-Type Cabrio and we started to make the first laps on the newly discovered circuit…
But obviously the high presence of tourists during the weekend makes it almost impossible to drive safely; safety always comes first!
So we decided to come back even on a week day, this time with a Mercedes SLC 300…
But even in the middle of the week we noticed that the turnout of tourists and locals was still high, so we decided to change tactics…
Why not try in the quieter hours of the day like sunrise and sunset ???
So the third time we returned with a Porsche 718 Boxster S…
But even at sunset, thanks to the beautiful scenery in which you can find yourselves, the turnout of people is always quite high…
So we tried at sunrise and the fact that not many people get up at 4am just to see this spectacle of nature helped out…
And finally we had the chance to have a good time and enjoy the circuit almost all for ourselves…
At this point, knowing all the secrets of the place, we decided to come back again at sunrise with a BMW M4, and the fun was guaranteed…
We will certainly come back again to this circuit for some other test drive…

Il Circuito del Faro
La prima volta che siamo capitati in quello che sarebbe diventato poi il Circuito del Faro, non avevamo la minima idea di dove fossimo; eravamo stati attirati dalle attrazioni del posto come le scogliere bianche e la struttura del faro…
Così dopo aver catturato qualche bella fotografia, ho notato che la strada sembrava davvero da percorrere con un’auto sportiva, sali e scendi frequenti, belle curve, un po’ strettina, ma quello è un po’ un classico delle strade di campagna inglesi…
Rimasto affascinato dalle curve di quelle strade, e osservando bene su Google Map, ho notato la presenza di un circuito di poco più di 7 miglia…
Così, la seconda volta che siamo tornati qui in zona, abbiamo pensato bene di tornare con una Jaguar F-Type Cabrio con la quale abbiamo iniziato a fare i primi giri sull’appena scoperto circuito…
Ma ovviamente la presenza elevata di turisti durante il weekend rende quasi impossibile la percorrenza del percorso senza pericoli; la sicurezza viene sempre prima di tutto!
Così abbiamo deciso di tornarci anche in un giorno durante la settimana, questa volta con una Mercedes SLC 300…
Ma anche in mezzo alla settimana abbiamo potuto notare che l’affluenza di turisti e gente del posto è comunque elevata, così abbiamo deciso di cambiare tattica…
Perché non provare nelle ore più tranquille del giorno come l’alba e il tramonto???
Così la terza volta siamo tornati con una Porsche 718 Boxster S…
Ma anche al tramonto, per via del bellissimo scenario in cui ci si trova, l’affluenza di persone è sempre abbastanza elevata…
Così non ci è rimasto che puntare tutto sull’alba e sul fatto che non molte persone si alzino alle 4 del mattino solo per vedere questo spettacolo della natura…
E finalmente abbiamo avuto la possibilità di divertirci per bene…
A questo punto, conoscendo tutti i segreti del posto, abbiamo deciso di tornare nuovamente con una BMW M4, e il divertimento è stato assicurato…
Di sicuro torneremo di nuovo su questo circuito per qualche altro test drive…
